Automated Solutions and Products Inc. is looking for a skilled Robotics/Controls Engineer - PLC Integrator to join our team. You will work closely with our lead engineer, gaining invaluable experience while contributing to high-performance automated systems in a collaborative and innovative environment.

Position Overview


As a Robotics/Controls Engineer - PLC Integrator, you will be responsible for programming, commissioning, and maintaining robotic and automation systems. This role involves both hands-on work with industrial robots and PLC/HMI systems and collaboration with the team to optimize performance, implement safety systems, and deliver innovative automation solutions. Travel to customer sites may be required.

What You'll Do



Work closely with our lead engineer to develop expertise in robotics and automation systems. Program industrial robots (Motoman, Fanuc, Kuka, ABB) for a wide variety of applications. Program and implement safety on equipment to meet local and industry standards. Commission, start up, and troubleshoot machines at customer locations. Participate actively in equipment installation and configuration. Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve issues in robotic systems. Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on robotic equipment. Configure and develop motion programs, and work with communication modules. Arrange program requirements in proper programming sequences and encode program requirements. Configure, set up, and commission robots from base model to full operation. Develop applications using robot simulation software. Maintain a high level of understanding of robotics systems across industries. Assist with project documentation, technical notes, and service records.

What We're Looking For



College or Industry Degree in Industrial Robot Applications, Electrical Engineering (Robotics), or equivalent experience. 5-10 years of experience in a robotics manufacturing or automation environment. Strong knowledge of industrial robotic systems (Motoman, Fanuc, Kuka, ABB). Experience with PLC programming, HMI, SCADA, motion, and safety systems. Ability to perform qualitative and quantitative analysis on robotic systems. Experience commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintaining automated systems. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and detail-oriented skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Valid Class G driver's license and Canadian passport (travel may be required). Electrical and AutoCAD Electrical experience is beneficial.

Pay: $43.00-$46.00 per hour
