Summary:



Responsible for supporting operation, programming, and maintaining robotic welding systems to produce high-quality welded components in accordance with production schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements. This role ensures consistent weld quality, efficient operation, and adherence to established procedures.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:



Assist in the setup and operation of robotic welding cells, adhering to safety and quality standards. Load and unload parts, fixtures, and materials into robotic welding systems. Monitor welding processes to ensure weld quality, consistency, and accuracy. Perform visual inspections of welds and identify defects or nonconformities. Support the programming, modification, and optimization of robotic welding programs to ensure efficient and consistent performance. Assist with job setups, fixture alignment, and adjustment of welding parameters. Collaborate with senior operators, supervisors, and engineering staff to troubleshoot and resolve operational or programming issues. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance to ensure operational efficiency. Document production metrics and assist in quality control processes. Participate in training sessions to enhance technical skills and operational knowledge.

Qualifications:



Experience with robot welding required. Understanding of welding materials, processes and techniques. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Understanding of robotic programming methods and user interfaces. Proficiency in using measurement and inspection tools. Experience operating large overhead crane systems preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes. Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to challenges. Team-orientated attitude with the ability to work independently.
