Overall purpose of this position:
Safely and efficiently support roaster operators and the Director of Coffee & Core Products in fulfilling the daily roast schedule, maintaining coffee quality standards, and conducting the Preventative Maintenance Program for the Roastery and Packaging equipment.
Operations Responsibilities?
Perform roasting support and packaging support duties, daily
Load and unload roasters, daily
Move green coffee inventory around roastery to ensure Lean inventory principles are followed, daily
Follow daily roasting production schedule, meeting quality standards and batch requirements efficiently and safely, daily
Log roast profiles and batches, daily
Ensure non-conforming batch protocol is maintained, as required
Maintain a safe, clean and professional-looking workspace as per Roastery standards and protocols
Participate as a member of the Coffee Leadership Team
Conduct daily preventative maintenance tasks to all and roastery and packaging equipment as per Just Us! PM program
Adheres to all health and safety and environmental workplace laws
Adheres to all co-op policies and procedures

First Aid Certificate
Experience in the coffee industry
Experience working in a production setting
Experience using Syspro
Ability to use Microsoft Office 365
Working Conditions?
Ability to stand/walk for prolonged periods of time
Ability to comfortably move and extend arms for prolonged periods of time
Lifting up to 50lbs
Ability to work in a noisy and hot environment
Early mornings
