We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Roads Superintendent to join our team. This pivotal role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in business and project management, capable of leading a team of professionals to ensure the safe, efficient, and timely completion of road construction and maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of road construction techniques, materials, and safety standards, coupled with the ability to manage budgets, resources, and timelines effectively. As a Roads Superintendent, you will be responsible for coordinating with various stakeholders, including municipal staff, contractors, and the public, to ensure that all projects align with regulatory requirements and community needs. Responsibilities

Develop and execute work plans to ensure the successful completion of contract work orders, outside sales contracts, and high client satisfaction.

Ensure strict compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Effectively manage project budgets, resources, and timelines.

Coordinate with municipal agencies, contractors, and stakeholders.

Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the team.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals.

Respond to weather-related emergencies requiring road maintenance under adverse conditions at any time of day or night.

Review timecards to ensure accurate capture of labor and materials for invoicing.

Review monthly invoices to ensure accuracy.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in road construction and maintenance.

Proven track record in project management and team leadership.

Strong understanding of road construction techniques and materials.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.

Familiarity with regulatory requirements and safety standards.

Proficiency in project management software and tools.
