SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
Road Crew/Machine Operator (MO4) must reside in the Kamloops area and will work a 10-hour shift with a schedule of 4 days on and 3 days off during the Spring/Summer shift.
Duties will include:
General road maintenance and labour activities.
Safe operation of various pieces of heavy equipment.
Safe operation of a tandem axel truck.
Safe operation of small engine power equipment.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Preferably Secondary School Graduation or equivalent and
must
hold a valid BC driver's license,Class 3 with Air Brake Endorsement.
Physically fit and able to perform manual labour activities.
Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Mechanical aptitude.
Clean drivers abstract with no restrictions.
PROVISO:
Duties require outside work in all types of weather and irregular hours due to emergencies. After hours, weekend and shift work may be required.
This position is subject to a 45-day probationary period from the date of award.
