About the role:


The Hospital strives to deliver care that is centred on patients and families. Patient and Family Centred Care (PFCC)
is the provision of care that is respectful of, and responsive to individual patient/family preferences, needs, and values
and ensures that those values guide all decisions. Creating a caring environment for patients and families ensures

Reporting to the Manager, Diagnostic Services, the Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing quality nursing
care to patients to adult and pediatric patients including complex patient populations whose outcomes are not
predictable within the Diagnostic and Cardio Respiratory Departments. The Registered Nurse is responsible for
assisting with care during interventional procedures and providing pre and post recovery of patients. As part of a
multidisciplinary health care team, you will practice within the Professional Standards of the College of Nurses of
Ontario, the Philosophy of patient and family centered care; the mission, vision, values and policies of the Thunder
Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.


Applicants must have the following qualifications:
Unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario Current certification in BCLS Ability to use the Nursing Process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) in conjunction with her/his basic and ongoing knowledge to arrive at individualized care planning and delivery
Identify and recognize abnormal or unexpected patient responses and take appropriate action Ability to simultaneously manage multiple nursing interventions
Strong interprofessional and communication skills Certification or completion Lead II Arrhythmia Interpretation Program Conscious Sedation competency Must successfully complete radiation safety courses as identified by manager on an annual basis

Salary Range: $40.240 to 57.680
