Your Opportunity:An exciting opportunity exists for Registered Nurses to work to full scope within their area of expertise in North Zone settings. This position will be used to fill staffing needs to both Home Care and Acute Care including emergency, acute care (OR, obstetrics, ICU/NICU, medicine, surgery, and pediatrics), continuing care, home care, mental health. The Registered Nurse Locum Program provides the opportunity to work in short term assignments up to full time hours. You will be responsible for the assessment, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions for a diverse patient population. You must be able to collaborate as a member of the health care team, balance numerous demands and conflicting priorities, and to work independently or within a multidisciplinary team environment. Locum Nurses receive extra incentives: A premium payment (temporary pilot until Sept 29, 2025) of $25.00 per hour for hours worked. A payment (temporary pilot until Sept 29, 2025) of $50.00 per day during assignments outside of Grande Prairie and Fort McMurray. A daily per diem of $25.40 and meal allowance of $47.50 on all assignments. Reimbursement for travel costs/per diem expenses. Accommodations provided by AHS.
