We are hiring for the following location:

Chenchenstway at 7550 Rosewood St, Burnaby, BC

As a Staff Nurse

, you'll be at the forefront of patient care, working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to ensure patients/residents receive comprehensive support. Your responsibilities will include:Assess patients' physical, social, spiritual, and psychological needs Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans Incorporate teaching into care plans to educate patients and families Make referrals to resources as needed Support fellow healthcare professionals Operate within the framework of Providence Health Care's mission, vision, and values

What You Bring:

Education:

Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives

Skills and Abilities:

Demonstrated competence in performing CPR procedures. Experience in teamwork, decision-making and conflict resolution Demonstrated a teaching aptitude Proficient in clinical leadership A strong desire to expand your professional skills and a commitment to lifelong learning in the nursing field

Your Day to Day

Conduct thorough resident assessments through chart reviews, observations, interviews, and collaboration with peers Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans based on evidence-based practices, prioritizing resident needs Adhere to established policies, procedures, and PHC standards while providing high-quality nursing care Monitor resident progress, evaluate outcomes, and adjust care plans as needed for optimal results Maintain accurate records of assessments, care plans, patient/resident status, and discharge plans using manual and computerized systems Identify and address resident and family learning needs, providing education and referrals as necessary Provide direction to staff, promote teamwork, and share clinical knowledge to enhance patient care Support nursing research initiatives and contribute to the improvement of resident care policies and procedures Advocate for residents' rights and dignity, facilitate discharge plans, and collaborate with families and community resources Perform additional duties as assigned to support the healthcare team
