POSITION: REGISTERED NURSE
Primary Site: Stratford
Medicine/Complex Continuing Care
Regular Part-Time
Shifts: 12-hour shifts, Days and Nights, 7 day/week coverage, may be subject to change)

REPORTS TO: Manager, Medicine

DATE REQUIRED: As soon as possible

SALARY: $40.24 to $57.68 per hour

QUALIFICATIONS:
Current registered member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification


EXPERIENCE:
Recent clinical experience (minimum two years) in Medicine nursing

Recent/related courses, in-services in Medicine nursing

Recent clinical experience (minimum two years) in Complex Continuing Care nursing

Recent/related courses, in-services in Complex Continuing Care nursing


SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Ability to perform specialized skills related to Medicine and patient education.

Ability to plan, organize and problem solve

Knowledge of Senior Friendly Hospital initiatives and their application in the clinical setting

Ability to engage patient and family partners in patient education related to the

Medicine/Complex Continuing Care setting

Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development

Ability to work independently and as a team member, with excellent communication skills

Working knowledge of Meditech Information System and personal computer applications
