Role Summary Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, you will play a key role in the success of our landscaping team as the Operations Manager. This is a permanent full-time position with bonus potential, extended health benefits, RRSP matching. Responsibilities \xc2\xb7 Supervise, coordinate and manage daily operations in landscaping and construction projects. \xc2\xb7 Manage a dynamic team including Horticulturists, Sales Leaders, Lead Foreman, Supply & Logistics Manager and Labourers. \xc2\xb7 Price and participate in providing estimates, timelines for new construction/landscape jobs. \xc2\xb7 Liaise with clients, project managers and subcontractors to resolve issues or concerns and attend meetings as required. \xc2\xb7 Assist as required with other landscape construction or landscape maintenance crews. \xc2\xb7 Coordinate property tours, schedule resources for the salting/snow removal season. \xc2\xb7 Facilitate safety meetings, site planning meetings as required. \xc2\xb7 Participates in new construction bid process and reviews. \xc2\xb7 Communicate daily progress, job timelines, issues, to management team. \xc2\xb7 Coordinate the delivery of materials to job sites. \xc2\xb7 Drive work vehicles and trailers as applicable to and from sites. Skills and Abilities \xc2\xb7 Read plans, blueprints and understand scope of job. \xc2\xb7 Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools, and equipment required to complete all scopes of construction and landscaping contracts. \xc2\xb7 Hire, supervise/manage staff; perform performance reviews and coach/mentor staff. \xc2\xb7 High level of sound and independent judgment and reasoning. \xc2\xb7 Detailed oriented and excellent time management skills. \xc2\xb7 Service oriented and self motivated. \xc2\xb7 Dedicated, with an all-hands-on-deck attitude towards completing the work efficiently and accurately. \xc2\xb7 Ability to change priorities and be adaptable. \xc2\xb7 Strategic thinking and problem resolution skills. \xc2\xb7 Communicates effectively both written and verbal. \xc2\xb7 Works well independently and with a team. Education and Experience \xc2\xb7 Project management experience is an asset. \xc2\xb7 Proven experience in managing various types and complexities of all phases of a project. \xc2\xb7 Construction or landscaping experience an asset. \xc2\xb7 Experience in operations management an asset. \xc2\xb7 Valid Class 5 Drivers License and a clean driving record.
