Position Overview





We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Risk Intern to join our Risk, Performance, & Technology practice. This role provides exposure to a broad range of risk management activities, including internal controls, cybersecurity, compliance, operational risk, and emerging risk trends. You will collaborate with experienced professionals to support client engagements and internal initiatives, gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic consulting environment.


Key Responsibilities




Support the identification, assessment, and documentation of business risks and controls. Contribute to the development and maintenance of risk registers and control frameworks. Participate in testing internal controls for design and operational effectiveness. Assist in evaluating compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Gather, analyze, and interpret data to support risk assessments and control testing. Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for client deliverables. Assist with project planning, documentation, and coordination of client meetings. Maintain organized workpapers and ensure adherence to quality standards. Conduct research on emerging risks, industry trends, and regulatory developments. Provide insights and recommendations to support client and internal decision-making.

Your Qualifications




Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Engineering, Finance, Business, Economics, Risk Management, or a related field. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Familiarity with data analytics tools such as Power BI or Tableau is an asset. Experience with AI engines including ChatGPT, Gemini, and Copilot. Strong analytical thinking with the ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and draw insights. High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all deliverables. Clear written and verbal communication skills. Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team and learn from others. Comfortable adapting to a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Demonstrates professionalism, strong work ethic, integrity, and a client-focused approach. Knowledge of risk frameworks (COSO, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, COBIT) or internal audit principles. Interest in pursuing professional designations (CPA, CIA, CRMA, CISA, CRISC, CISSP, CISM, PMP, etc.).
