Digital Commerce Group is seeking to add a Risk and Compliance Analyst to its team. This role will provide support to Digital Commerce Bank and its affiliates including Pateno Payments Inc. and Digital Commerce Payments. Reporting to the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer, this position will be based at Digital Commerce Bank's head office in Calgary, Alberta.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Risk and Compliance Analyst supports the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer in managing enterprise-wide risk and compliance programs across the Digital Commerce Group, which includes Digital Commerce Bank, Pateno Payments, and DC Payments. The role involves assisting with risk identification, monitoring, and reporting, maintaining compliance and third-party risk assessments, and supporting a strong control environment aligned with Canadian regulatory frameworks such as OSFI, CDIC, FCAC, RPAA, and payment network requirements. This position provides broad exposure across banking and payment operations, contributing to the Group's goal of maintaining a robust, compliant, and resilient risk culture.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Enterprise Risk Management
Support quarterly enterprise-wide risk assessments, Risk and Control Self-Assessments, emerging risk analysis, and updates to the ERM Dashboard and Key Risk Indicators.
Track KRI performance against risk appetite thresholds and draft commentary for management and Board reporting.
Assist in developing, updating, and implementing risk frameworks.
Conduct research and analysis to identify trends, exposures, and mitigation opportunities.
Contribute to ICAAP and related capital/risk documentation.
Regulatory Compliance
Maintain and monitor the Group's Regulatory Compliance Management System, ensuring all applicable regulatory and internal policy requirements are mapped, assessed, and kept current.
Conduct policy compliance assessments and monitoring to verify adherence to internal policies, procedures, and regulatory obligations.
Support periodic compliance reviews and thematic assessments, including documentation of findings, action plans, and remediation tracking.
Monitor regulatory developments and summarize applicable changes for management awareness and implementation.
Assist in updating policies and procedures to align with evolving regulatory expectations and best practices.
Third-Party and Operational Risk
Support due diligence, onboarding, and ongoing monitoring of critical third parties in accordance with OSFI Guideline B-10.
Maintain vendor inventories, risk ratings, and due diligence records.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Education: Degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in risk management, compliance, or internal audit within a regulated financial institution, payment service provider, or fintech.
Familiarity with key Canadian regulatory frameworks: OSFI Guidelines, FCAC guidance, RPAA, and Payment Networks' Regulations.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across teams.
Ability to support change management and process improvement initiatives
Experience with GRC or RegTech platforms is an asset.
