The Risk Analyst will support all areas of compliance and risk focusing directly on insurance, bonding, internal audit and enterprise risk management. This is a great opportunity to learn about all areas of the business and work closely with our operations and legal teams to ensure risk is mitigated across the organization.
Roles and responsibilities
Provide assistance, ensure accurate and timely response to project teams for all insurance inquiries
Record monthly internal insurance premiums as well as code and track invoices to ensure timely payments are made.
Assist with the compilation of insurance renewal information and provide monthly insurance reporting requirements.
Maintain and safeguard records including insurance certificates, bonds and other documents.
Prepare quarterly internal control testing, summarizing findings as well as recommending process changes
Facilitate the quarterly ERM voting process, providing training and support to senior management.
Opportunities to be involved in process improvement projects within the area of risk and loss prevention.
Qualifications
A minimum of undergraduate degree or diploma in; business, construction management, risk management, insurance preferred, however, a combination of education and experience in the related fields will be considered.
Experience in insurance or the construction industry is an asset.
Ability to perform data analysis, with strong knowledge and experience working in Microsoft Excel.
Effective and clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
