RINSA is a value-added network partnership between numerous engaged contributors with its governance overseen by the University of Lethbridge, Lethbridge polytechnic, Community Futures Lethbridge Region, Southgrow Regional Initiative, BIPOC Foundation, the Southern Alberta Game Developers' Guild. The RIN's mandate is to support growth of new and existing small and medium-sized enterprises through innovation and technology. RINSA is part of a province-wide network of Regional Innovation Networks (RINs) that works collaboratively across the province of Alberta. The RIN program is financially supported by Alberta Innovates with dedicated support for each RIN from a local Technology Development Advisor (TDA).

The RIN Manager will report directly to the Executive Director, Community Futures Lethbridge Region (CFLR) but will work most closely within the RINSA network members and with the local TDA. The position provides access to a staff benefits plan, matching RSP program, and health and wellness program after a successful probationary period. Some travel within Alberta is expected so a clean and valid Alberta operators license is required.

Key Responsibilities



Program Delivery - Support several entrepreneurial focused projects simultaneously with numerous partner touchpoints.

Data Integrity - Track RINSA performance measures to ensure initiative success and metric achievement which will populate coordination of quarterly/annual funder reporting.

Relationship Management and Partnership Development - Develop and maintain positive relationships with entrepreneurs, ecosystem partners, the RIN governance group, the TDA, the provincial RIN network, etc.

Communications - Ensure RIN brand and value awareness through working with marketing agent.

Financial & Budget Management - Maintain financial best practices and monitoring to ensure contractual commitment is fulfilled.

Meeting and Event Coordination - Provide and oversee all logistics in support of RINSA program events and meetings, in-person and virtual.

Advocacy - Public speaking and advocacy to regional, provincial, and federal government bodies for enhanced support and visibility on successes.

Preferred Skills and Experience



Post-secondary credential in a related field of administrative management, financial

management and/or event management OR relevant experience in any of these fields.

Experience managing projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.

Experience with grant-writing and reporting.

Ability to operate flexibly in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work productively independently or with a team.

Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills.

Fine attention to detail.

Advanced organizational skills.

Excellent computer and word processing skills with a strong background in Microsoft 365 software applications including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Experience managing financial transactions and processes of public funding.

Accounting and metrics experience/training or applicable work experience.

Experience with back-end updates to website platforms and low-code/no-code software systems.

Experience in writing and editing letters and other professional documentation.

Experience with other software such as Zoom, Fellow, AirTable, Adobe Acrobat, etc.

Experience with computer and information technology systems.

Experience with artificial intelligence and emerging technologies would be an asset.

Experience as an entrepreneur or collaborating with entrepreneurs would be an asset.

Experience with participation in Regional Innovation Networks and/or innovation ecosystems would be an asset.

The position is located on site in Lethbridge, Alberta, with some travel required. Applicants must have reliable transportation.

Pay: $41,805.79-$98,902.55 per year
