Vulcraft Canada, Inc, A Division of Nucor Corporation is currently looking for riggers and welders to join our Leduc team.

We are a Canadian NUCOR Vulcraft division. The safety of our team is our top priority. We manufacture open web steel joists and steel decking. We are looking to add Riggers and welders who are driven, hardworking individuals who are looking to join a team atmosphere. We are willing to train the right candidates. CWB GMAW Tacking/Flat Fillet certification and experience an asset.



RESPONSIBILIITIES

Preform all tasks Safely and look out for teammates. Perform various fit up and tacking operations on a variety of structural assemblies Interpret weld symbols and follow weld procedures Adding stiffeners, brackets, face plates, etc. using shop orders for location prior to finish welding Perform production GMAW operations on a variety of plate, bars, channel and related materials working off shop orders and/or verbal instructions Setting welding machine to assure uniform bead, adequate penetration with minimum wrap Utilizing cutting torch as required Performing cleaning operations when required using chipping hammer or grinder to remove burn-through and spatter Utilize overhead crane to lift within capacity of crane Maintaining work area and equipment in a clean an orderly condition Perform tasks as required by Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma. Must have basic math skills to calculate measurements. Must know how to read and use a tape measure. CWB certification in GMAW and MIG preferred. Prior experience in the steel industry is considered an asset.
