What we'll love about you:



Relevant certifications (such as CWB Rigger Certification or equivalent) and/or relevant training Proven experience in rigging, including proper use of rigging equipment and techniques Strong understanding of load calculations, rigging gear, and safety protocols Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications Familiarity with various hoisting equipment, including cranes, winches, and forklifts Safety-conscious, with a commitment to adhering to Steelcon safety processes and policies Ability to work well within a team and collaborate closely with other tradespeople

What you'll work on:



At Steelcon, Rigging Specialists are skilled professionals responsible for moving and securing heavy materials and components to be welded, fabricated, or installed into structural assemblies. You'll be part of the team responsible for lifting, positioning, and securing loads on construction sites or within our fabrication shop based on blueprint specifications. Rigging tasks will involve lifting and lowering of steel components, preparing equipment for lifts, and ensuring loads are moved safely and efficiently.

As a successful Rigger, you will demonstrate excellent attention to detail and a deep understanding of safe rigging practices, ensuring that all materials and equipment are properly secured and handled in accordance with Steelcon's strict safety and quality control standards.

Shift:



We are actively hiring for day, afternoon, and weekend shifts.
Full time working 44 hours per week.

Monday to Thursday, 5:30 am to 5:15 pm. (am shift) Monday to Thursday, 5:30 pm to 5:15 am. (pm premium shift) Friday to Sunday, 5:30 am to 5:15 pm (weekend shift)
