UPDATING DATABASE FOR FUTURE OPPORTUNITIES NO START DATE FOR THIS POSITION REPORTS TO: Technical Section Leader DEPARTMENT: Technical JOB SUMMARY: Rig Mechanic is responsible for monitoring and maintenance of the mechanical equipment. PRE-REQUISITES/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Marine Diesel Mechanics Certificate or Equivalent Combination of Experience and Training
  • 1 years experience as a Rig Mechanic on a 6th Generation Ultra-Deepwater Semi-Submersible
  • 2+ years? experience with AKMH, MH Wirth and MH Crown Compensator equipment
  • Knowledge of technical calculations required for mechanical operations
  • Structured and organized mindset
  • High level of integrity
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Must pass Physical, Drug Screen and Background /Pre-Employment Screening Checks.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Carry out mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic installation, maintenance, and repair in a safe and prudent manner
  • Perform daily inspections and maintenance on mechanical equipment
  • Maintain and repair mechanical systems and equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair faulty mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment and tools
  • Identify and respond to abnormal operation conditions and/or patterns of equipment
  • Carry out periodic maintenance according to the maintenance system guidelines and coordinate that maintenance with supervisors and other department heads
  • Ensure that requirements concerning regulatory bodies are met in all cases of equipment repair and installation
  • Comply with the permit to work and isolation system
  • Maintain service reports and advise supervisor on condition of equipment and spare parts requirements
  • Other duties as assigned
