Weis & Associates is a building consulting, design, and brand identity firm with a focus on automotive retail and service design, production and construction. We have an unparalleled body of experience in the automotive vertical, working on some of the world's most prestigious facilities. Our work primarily on developing automotive retail (car dealership) design concepts for major car brands.

Weis is seeking a Revit Technician for a 1-year contract position, with potential to move to permeant role. This role will produce design-intent drawings in Revit, and is an in-person role.

Please be advised, this role is not eligible towards hours for OAA licensing.

Essential Responsibilities



Model various Weis client design program elements as Revit families, maintain libraries and other technical elements which assist design and production team. Manipulate drawings as directed by Weis Designers using Revit as assigned (requirement). Model existing building conditions from prints, related documents and/or surveys. Work collaboratively with Weis team to prepare/ update design documents. Render conceptual design ideas and prepare 2D and 3D presentation/design drawings using Lumion, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign, as required. Support the preparation of technical reports, specifications updates and data management from drawings.

Required Qualifications



Professional proficiency in English (written/speaking). Knowledge of French (Quebecois) language is an asset. Bachelors degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or Diploma in Architectural Technology. Minimum 4 years work experience in Revit in architecture / design firm. Established working knowledge of Canadian / Provincial building code standards. Well demonstrated skillset in AutoDesk suite, Sketchup, Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop). Proficiency in 3D modelling (Lumion) and rendering programs is required. Demonstrated work experience in design, design thinking, critical thinking and innovation practices. Entrepreneurial mindset, design focused, problem solution seeker. Demonstrated ability to work with a team to handle multiple priorities and stakeholders. Proficiency in the use of design tools, presentation, and communications techniques.
Candidates must showcase their Revit skill set in both a take-home and live, timed in-office Revit test. Only those selected for an interview will be contacted.

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
