Position Overview - The Reservations & Marketing Coordinator plays a crucial role in driving the hotel's financial performance and brand presence. This dual-focused role involves managing revenue strategies to optimize room occupancy and rates while supporting the hotel's marketing initiatives. You will collaborate closely with the Reservations & Marketing Manager to ensure seamless integration of revenue management, digital marketing, and guest engagement strategies.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. Revenue Management Support
- Monitor daily hotel performance metrics, including occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and market share.
- Assist in analyzing market trends, booking patterns, and competitor activity to adjust pricing strategies to maximize revenue.
- Update and manage rates, availability, and restrictions across all distribution channels.
- Support the Revenue & Marketing Manager in forecasting demand and preparing revenue reports.
- Conduct rate audits to ensure accuracy across all platforms and identify opportunities for revenue growth.
- Assist in the development and implementation of revenue strategies for special events, holidays, and peak seasons.
2. Marketing Coordination:
- Collaborate to plan and execute marketing campaigns, including email marketing, social media, and content creation.
- Maintain and update the hotel's website, ensuring content is accurate, engaging, and aligned with brand standards.
- Coordinate and schedule social media posts, responding to guest comments and engaging with the online community.
- Support the creation and distribution of marketing collateral, such as digital ads and promotional materials.
- Assist in managing the hotel's CRM database, segmenting guest data, and creating targeted marketing campaigns.
- Track and analyze the performance of marketing initiatives, providing insights for continuous improvement.
3. Group & Event Coordination:
- Liaise with group clients to manage blocks and ensure group reservations are accurately entered into the PMS.
- Assist in preparing group contracts and respond to RFPs in a timely and professional manner.
- Coordinate with operations teams to ensure seamless execution of group events, meetings, and special occasions.
- Monitor and manage group rooming lists, ensuring all details are accurate and up-to-date.
4. Guest Experience Enhancement:
- Assist the Guest Services team by covering Front Desk from time to time and taking calls from guests.
- Collaborate to ensure that guest inquiries related to rates, promotions, and availability are handled promptly and efficiently.
5. Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with the Revenue & Marketing Manager to align revenue and marketing strategies with overall business goals.
- Communicate effectively with all hotel departments to ensure smooth operations and a cohesive guest experience.
- Participate in regular meetings with management to review performance, discuss strategies, and share insights.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in revenue management, marketing, or a similar role within the service industry.
- Proficiency in hotel PMS, channel management systems, CRM platforms, and digital marketing tools. - Highly knowledgeable of Social Media marketing campaigns and AI tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A keen understanding of the Whistler market and its seasonal dynamics.
- Creative mindset with a passion for driving results and enhancing guest experiences
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $28.64 per hour
