We are looking to hire for a Part-time Returns Associate to work in our Calgary warehouse. The person doing this job would supervises daily activities of the returns production staff to ensure efficient workflow, adherence to standards or policies, and timely completion of jobs. Supervises returns production employees or areas in a distribution and assembly environment. Works closely with the Warehouse Supervisor as needed.


Duties:




Scanning & Data Entry + Scan each item into the computer system using a handheld or stationary scanner. Accurately and efficiently scan each item to ensure proper tracking and processing in the system. Double-check for successful entry before proceeding.
Sorting Returned Items + Sort items according to established criteria (e.g., return to publisher versus shred). Follow sorting guidelines carefully to ensure items are directed to the correct destination. Attention to detail is critical to avoid processing errors.
Receiving & Inspecting Returns + Receive and inspect returned products for accuracy and condition. Ensure all returned items match return documentation and are free of damage or contamination.
Conveyor Handling + Place scanned items onto the conveyor system for appropriate downstream handling. Handle all items with care and ensure they are securely placed on the conveyor in the correct area to avoid jams or misrouting.
Workstation Organization

+ Maintain clean and organized workstations.
+ Keep the work area free from clutter and debris to promote a safe, efficient environment.
+ Perform regular tidying throughout shift.
Communication & Issue Reporting

+ Communicate discrepancies or issues with returns to Supervisor. Includes unusual conditions, mismatched items, or system errors to ensure timely resolution and continuous workflow.
+ Follow company policies and safety procedures. Includes wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), adhering to safety protocols, and demonstrating a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
Other duties as required

Skills and Abilities:




Excellent communication skills High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
