Job Summary

The Facilities Planning Specialist is responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing strategic plans for the efficient use of physical space and resources within the organization. This role involves collaborating with various departments to optimize facility layouts, oversee project planning for renovations or expansions, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

Develop comprehensive facility plans that align with organizational goals and operational needs. Coordinate space utilization assessments and recommend improvements to maximize efficiency. Manage projects related to facility renovations, expansions, or relocations from conception through completion. Prepare detailed reports, budgets, and timelines for planning projects. Monitor ongoing facility operations to identify areas for process improvement or cost savings. Assist in the procurement of equipment and services necessary for facility modifications or upgrades. Maintain documentation related to facility layouts, project plans, and regulatory compliance records.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field; relevant experience may substitute education requirements. Proven experience in facilities planning, project management, or space optimization. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and data. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards. Proficiency in CAD software or other design tools is preferred. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $79,920.00-$97,920.00 per year
