Description
As a senior leader within Saje\xe2\x80\x99s Creative Team, the Retail Visual Designer owns the concepting and development of Saje\xe2\x80\x99s Visual Merchandising experience in our physical channels. The Retail Visual Designer will support the aesthetic and commercial goals of our Retail stores by creating innovative strategies and tactics that drive customer acquisition, conversion, education and engagement through each touchpoint. Reporting to the Creative Director, this role will work hand-in-hand with Saje\xe2\x80\x99s Creative, Marketing, Product, Retail and Digital teams to create a best-in-class experience for our Community Members. Through day to day functions, the Retail Visual Designer contributes to maintaining and strengthening Saje\xe2\x80\x99s culture; proactively engaging in behaviours that align with Saje\xe2\x80\x99s values: Wellness, Growth, Celebration, Greatness and Belonging.
Responsibilities
Create a visual merchandising strategy that drives our brand campaigns and key moments to acquire, convert and retain customers.
Communicate your strategy clearly and effectively to stakeholders; create visual merchandising packages that outline the \xe2\x80\x9cwhy and how\xe2\x80\x9d to your audiences
Improve the overall navigation of our stores and unlock self-navigation capabilities within our store experience
Lead the development of fixturing solutions and strategies to support the customer journey
Lead the development of clear and compelling signage, in support of your overall visual merchandising strategy and customer experience
Collaborate with our team of graphic designers, copywriters, packaging designers to translate briefs into valorizing creative concepts that build brand equity and loyalty
Collaborate with Store Development, Retail and Marketing to develop innovative design solutions for identified business needs, including existing stores, new store strategies, pop-ups and events
Collaborate with Retail to develop efficient and impactful workflows to improve the execution of your strategies; be highly connected to our Team Members and our consumers to inform your future work
Collaborate with Creative Operations to ensure that all projects and deliverables are managed to sensitive deadlines
Be a liasson with vendors and external stakeholders to develop and maintain a strong list of partners who can bring your bold vision to life
Creates a team environment where all Team Members consistently experience a sense of belonging and inclusion
Applicant Requirements
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or diploma in design, retail, merchandising or related field
Experience in visual merchandising, experience or graphic design
Ability to support all areas of Marketing with graphic design needs and other design and production activities as assigned
Ability to create, understand and translate 3D concepts into 2D mock-ups
Experience with both Mac and PC platforms
Proficient in Adobe CC Suite, AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Smartsheet and MS Office
Strong knowledge of current retail landscape and the latest trends and innovations
