Job Description


Summary:

Reporting to the Group Sales Manager, the Retail Lead is responsible for overseeing the successful day to day operation of a retail store department.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide supervision and leadership to the team members of the department, in partnership with the manager
  • Delegate tasks and work assignment to team members by giving clear and concise direction, and follow up to ensure proper execution
  • Foster the growth and development of team members by training various standard operating procedures and processes
  • Ensure team members follow all standard operating procedures and systems processes, following up to provide correction and guidance when needed, and reporting violations to the manager
  • Perform administrative tasks related to their assigned department
  • Provide legendary customer service by identifying and evaluating customers\xe2\x80\x99 needs, and making product recommendations based off this analysis
  • Promote company programs to team members and customers
  • Maintain visual presentation standards including in-store signage, merchandise recovering/front facing, restocking, remerchandising, dusting, and vacuuming sales floor as needed
  • Respond to and resolve customer issues by using good judgment and logic in solving problems and making decisions within the job scope
  • Assist in other areas of the store when business needs dictate
Qualifications:
  • Two or more years of supervisory experience in a sales or service environment is preferred
  • Open availability \xe2\x80\x93 this position will be required to work store opening and closing shifts, as well as on weekends
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Ability to evaluate customers\xe2\x80\x99 needs and make recommendations based on needs
  • Ability to provide superior customer service and exceed customer\xe2\x80\x99s expectations
  • Ability to use good judgment and logic
  • Experience in a related field or outdoor lifestyle
  • Knowledge of Bass Pro Shops & Cabela\xe2\x80\x99s specific products is an asset
