Amy's on Davie is a specialty party and balloon store offering decorations, balloon art, everyday products, and seasonal products. We are seeking a

Retail Supervisor

to oversee daily store operations, supervise employees, and maintain service standards.

Job Duties

The Retail Supervisor will perform the following duties:

Supervise and coordinate the activities of sales staff and balloon artists

during daily shifts.

Create custom balloon arrangements, sculptures, and displays

for customers and events.

Train and supervise staff on balloon design, safety, handling, and installation.

Assist customers with balloon art consultations and recommendations.

Assign tasks

, monitor performance, and ensure work is completed according to store standards.

Train new employees

in store procedures, balloon handling, customer service, safety, and sales techniques.

Manage opening and closing procedures

, including cash reconciliation, POS system balancing, and daily reporting.

Resolve customer concerns

, provide product guidance, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

Coordinate merchandise displays

, restocking, and organization of inventory on sales floor and storage areas.

Monitor inventory levels

, identify shortages, and communicate restocking needs to management.

Ensure compliance with store policies

, health and safety guidelines, and company operational standards.

Assist with balloon orders

, including preparation, arrangement, and quality checks for garlands, bouquets, and event decor.

Participate in scheduling

, workflow planning, and seasonal operational adjustments.

Report staff performance issues

or operational challenges to the Store Manager/Owner.

Requirements

Applicants must meet the following:

Completion of secondary school.

Demonstrated experience in balloon artistry, decoration, or similar event-design work.

Ability to

handle latex and foil balloons safely

and create professional balloon arrangements. Experience with

balloon installation, tying, and display setup

.

Minimum 1 year of experience in retail sales, customer service, or related field.

Previous

supervisory or leadership experience

is an asset. Strong communication and team coordination skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail. Ability to lift up to 20-30 lbs as required for inventory or balloon setup. Weekend, evening, and holiday availability as required. Valid Class 5 driver's licence is an asset (for event deliveries or off-site setups).
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 35 per week
