We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to lead our store team and ensure exceptional customer service. The Retail Store Supervisor will be instrumental in maintaining a positive shopping environment, optimizing merchandising strategies, and ensuring operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Supervise daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve sales targets and deliver excellent customer service
Manage staff recruiting, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
Oversee merchandising efforts, including product placement, pricing strategies, and inventory management
Handle cash register operations, cashiering duties, and cash handling procedures with accuracy
Monitor store budget, control expenses, and assist with purchasing decisions
Implement marketing initiatives to increase store traffic and sales
Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, policies, and updates
Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and store standards
Utilize POS systems effectively for transactions and inventory tracking
Resolve customer complaints promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels
Perform administrative tasks such as bookkeeping, payroll processing, and record keeping
Develop training programs for staff development and continuous improvement
Skills
Proven supervising experience in retail or related fields with strong leadership capabilities
Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
Proficiency in POS systems, merchandising tools, and retail software applications
Strong negotiation skills for vendor relations and purchasing negotiations
Experience in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new staff members
Knowledge of sales management techniques and retail sales strategies
Ability to manage budgets, pricing strategies, and financial records accurately
Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and administrative tasks
Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Customer service orientation with professional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
Basic math skills for cash handling, bookkeeping, and financial calculations
Leadership qualities with the ability to train & develop team members and foster a positive work environment
