We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Retail Store Manager to oversee daily store operations, drive sales, and lead a team to deliver exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, retail management expertise, and a passion for creating a positive shopping environment. This role involves managing staff, merchandising, inventory, and ensuring the store meets its financial and operational goals.
Duties
Lead and supervise store staff, including recruiting, training, and developing team members to ensure high performance and excellent customer service.
Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.
Manage merchandising efforts by implementing effective product placement, pricing strategies, and promotional displays to maximize sales.
Utilize POS systems for sales transactions, inventory management, and reporting.
Handle purchasing decisions, stock replenishment, and inventory control to meet customer demand efficiently.
Develop and execute marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
Monitor sales performance and analyze financial reports to achieve sales targets and optimize store profitability.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and health standards.
Foster a positive team environment through effective communication, motivation, and leadership.
Requirements
Proven experience in retail sales, store management, or supervisory roles within a retail environment.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and motivate staff.
Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
Proficiency in POS systems, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and basic math skills.
Knowledge of merchandising techniques, pricing strategies, marketing principles, and customer service excellence.
Experience with recruiting, interviewing candidates, training & development programs.
Organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks effectively.
Administrative experience including budgeting, cash handling, bookkeeping, and phone etiquette.
Strong negotiation skills with an understanding of purchasing processes.
