The Scented Market is a proudly Canadian brand specializing in hand poured soy candles and home fragrance products. We create products that help people slow down, relax, and enjoy the moment. With multiple retail locations, a thriving online store, and an active events schedule, we're looking for a driven retail store Manager to support our marketing and retail efforts.
Duties:
- Oversee daily operations of the store, including sales, customer service, and inventory management.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and maximize profitability.
- Manage cash handling procedures and ensure accuracy in cash register transactions.
- Create and manage budgets to effectively allocate resources and control expenses.
- Recruit, train, and supervise store staff, ensuring they provide excellent customer service.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure product availability.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment.
- Implement marketing initiatives to promote sales and attract customers.
- Resolve customer complaints or issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
- Strategize, plan and execute local events and activations with inventory and staffing
- Teach candle making classes on evenings and weekends and have your smart serve.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in retail management or a similar role.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers, employees, and suppliers.
- Proficiency in cash handling procedures and basic accounting principles.
- Ability to analyze sales data and make informed decisions based on trends.
- Multilingual abilities are a plus, especially if bilingual in languages commonly spoken in the local community.
