In this position you will assist with training of staff to optimize sales and profit margins. You will become familiar with a variety of management functions, notably inventory, buying, customer service, personnel and merchandising. Requirements: You have an outstanding sense of customer service and a strong sales ability. You are able to organize, plan and to work closely with our retail salespeople. You have a strong understanding of clothing for travel, sports, weekends and the outdoors and you are acquainted with footwear and equipment for sports and the outdoors. You have 2-3 years of experience in a high service retail environment. You can work weekends and some evenings. You need flexibility in case of overtime and you must be able to cope with stress. You are able to stand for long periods of time and you can lift boxes up to 20 pounds. Duties include:

• Ensure top quality customer service at all times
• Supervise sales activities and the sales associates to ensure that the work is done according to instructions
• Contribute to the development of employees\xe2\x80\x99 merchandising and sales skills
• Establish priorities and lists of daily tasks
• Monitor the level of inventory so as to ensure that sufficient supplies are on hand for immediate and short-term needs
• Establish, in conjunction with the manager, an action plan for regular ad campaigns; make sure that there is a sufficient supply on hand of the articles in question, and that the merchandising and signage are done in a manner likely to optimize sales
• Implement and follow up on all loss prevention programs and procedures
• Ensure that the store is clean and well maintained, in accordance with company standards
• Open and close the store as required
