Purpose:
This position oversees the operations within the Ontario Medical Supply retail locations. Responsibilities include managing staff, ensuring efficient store operations, maintaining inventory, and delivering excellent customer service. Focus will also be on maximizing sales, and meeting financial targets while maintaining a safe and healthy workplace environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Staff Management:
Recruiting, training, and supervising staff oversight with accountability across all on-site store managers
->includes hiring, onboard new employees, and providing ongoing training in product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service
->coaching, talent development plans and discussions
Managing staff performance expectations, conducting performance reviews, and providing real-time feedback to improve team performance
Motivating staff and creating a positive and productive work environment to boost morale and drive sales
Operations and Customer Service:
Overseeing daily tasks such as scheduling, opening and closing procedures, and POS/cash handling
Strategic inventory management, maintaining optimal stock levels based on volume demand, ordering the right supplies, and minimizing waste
Accountable for visual merchandising and maintaining responsibility with on-site store managers to ensure the stores are well-organized, clean, and visually appealing to customers
Accountable for maintenance and accuracy of all retail pricing along with approving necessary tools and sales flyers for enhanced promotional activity
Enforcing health and safety regulations, company policies, and legal requirements
-Ensuring customer satisfaction and measured accordingly, addressing customer inquiries, resolving complaints -and/or escalations, and providing excellent service
Building meaningful customer relationships by fostering a welcoming and knowledgeable environment that encourages repeat business
Working collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional partners in Supply Chain Operations to ensure seamless operations and support across all retail locations
Building relationships with, liaising with suppliers and vendors, and/or coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products and managing inventory effectively
Providing regular updates on store performance, sales figures, and operational issues while staying up to date on industry trends by monitoring competitor activities and identifying new opportunities for growth
Sales and Financial Management:
Meeting sales targets by achieving sales goals, maximizing revenue, and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs)
Analyzing sales data and monitor sales trends, identifying areas for improvement, and developing strategies to increase sales
Managing budgets effectively by tracking expenses, controlling costs, and ensuring the store operates within budget
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years' experience successfully leading stores and teams at multiple locations
College degree/diploma or relevant technical or vocational training preferred
Bilingual is considered an asset
Demonstrated experience in driving sales and profitability through customer service, merchandising excellence, product knowledge, and solutions-based, consultative selling; healthcare experience is an asset
