Our client in Huntsville is actively looking for an experienced Retail Sales Manager to join their team.

Salary: $70,000 - $75,000/hr

An effective Retail Sales Manager will have knowledge, experience, ability, and commitment to the Company, and to the role. The position will be filled by someone who is enthusiastic \xe2\x80\x93 someone who naturally motivates their colleagues and subordinates. You will seek to understand, and then be understood. Consistently reviewing goals, creating a forward focus will drive the position to success.

Key Performance Indicators (KPI\'s)
The Retail Sales Manager position will be filled by someone who:

• Increases Sales Associates\' variance from average sale to within 10% of the monthly and yearly average for their respective stores.
• Increases Value Added Products & Services (VAPS) attachment rate to the minimum required in the Sales Associates\' job description. This is defined at 45% in Platinum Protection, 60% in Leather Care, 75% in MagiSeal, and 85% in Mattress Protectors. The Company\'s goal is to have both showrooms within the top 5 VAPS performers in Leon\'s Franchise Division.
• Increase Payment Insurance Plan (PIP) to 3%.
• Continuously strive for improvement in utilizing Leon\'s 6 Steps of Selling without discounting. Hold monthly meetings with each Sales Associate and develop an action plan for success. Daily and weekly meetings should be held as a team, with quarterly one-on-one meetings to review performance.
• The Retail Sales Manager will work with the Sales Team to increase the stores\' average sale price. This includes, but is not limited to: VAPS and add-on sales, lifestyle bases, accessory sales, pillow sales, and a top-down approach to selling.
• Develop a \'Customer Awareness Policy\' within the store. The associate who is next to take a customer should be ready to greet the customer.
• Manage customer service escalations effectively & efficiently, with the overall customer experience being paramount, while managing Company expectations. Emotional decisions cannot be made at any level. All customer interactions (service or otherwise) are to be courteous and professional. Any service escalations that are sent to the Service Manager, or any ongoing service issues, will be reviewed weekly with the Service Manager.
• Manage opening and closing responsibilities of the store. This includes but is not limited to covering short-staff situations. Taking an ownership attitude is necessary for success in this role. The Retail Sales Manager will need to be present for all major sales events and retail weekends.
• Ensure that Leon\'s Muskoka has the best Home Furnishings retail store in the region. While this is a broad topic, it is to include showroom detailing (as you would expect at a grand opening), product knowledge, and competence in systems & procedures, knowledge of all current promotions (internal and competitive), follow-up phone calls, closing ability, review display and backup inventory \xe2\x80\x93 putting forth suggestions to the appropriate buyer. Adequate staff schedules are to be completed and sent to the General Manager by the 15th of the month prior.
• Participate in community events as necessary: business after hours and other Bracebridge Chamber of Commerce functions.
• Maintain a high level of showroom cleanliness.
• Work with management, not against, to achieve Company objectives.

• College or University education is preferred
