Job Description

We are looking for charismatic and dynamic team-players for a part-time role on our retail team at Rona Lumby. Successful candidates will have friendly and outgoing personalities, eager to help a wide variety of customers leave our store armed with the right tool for the right job. This opportunity is perfect for people with in-depth knowledge of home improvement, gardening or trades who love helping people from all walks of life maintain and improve their homes. We are looking for cashiers available to work weekends, with potential shifts available through the week.

Duties include:

Provide courteous and friendly service to our customers Process checkouts and payments with a low margin of error Daily use of the inventory and Point of Sale systems Provide some trade knowledge and advice to the regular DIY customer in need of help Stocking shelves and inventory maintenance Minor cleaning duties

Qualification we are looking for:

Friendly, approachable attitude and demeanor Willingness to help our customers, and help find solutions to their problems Some building or trade knowledge is an asset Previous cashier or customer service experience is an asset Problem solving skills Availability to work flexible schedules if the need arises, including weekends
