Job Overview:

Guitars Plus is seeking a knowledgeable, personable andpassionateSales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate is comfortable engaging with the public, eager to share their love of music, and motivated to help customers find the right gear. Knowledge of guitar history, equipment and repair is an asset. In addition to sales, this role involves learning inventory management, assisting with shipping and receiving, and assisting with online sales, content creation and shop upkeep.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Customer Service

Provide knowledgeable, personalized assistance on guitars, amplifiers, pedals, and accessories. Maintain strong awareness of current stock and special-order options. Adapt sales approach to different customer needs and profiles. Operate the POS (Lightspeed) for invoices, work orders, and purchase orders.

Online Sales & Content

Photograph, document, and create accurate listings for online sales (Reverb). Support content creation for social media and the website (photo/video). Prepare inventory for shipping, including secure packaging, label generation, and cross-border documentation.

Store Operations

Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked store. Open/close procedures, including POS reconciliation and daily setup/teardown.

Qualifications & Skills:

Passion for guitar and knowledge of gear, brands, and industry trends A mind for detail and memorization Strong communication and storytelling skills - in person, online, phone, email Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent education Clean criminal record check Ability to work independently and as part of a team Knowledge of Lightspeed POS, DAWs, NLEs and content creation an asset
