Under light guidance, the Retail Keyholder teams up with store leadership to run daily operations and oversee every corner of the shop. They deliver stellar guest experiences in a sales-driven culture powered by RAD GameShop's Circle of Life--our buy, sell, trade, and pre-order ecosystem for games and TCGs. The role keeps products front-and-center (from new releases to sealed booster boxes), drives revenue with deep knowledge of titles and meta trends, maintains an inviting and organized vibe, and builds lasting loyalty that keeps players coming back.
CORE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver world-class hospitality: greet every visitor instantly, resolve questions or concerns fast and politely, match guests with the perfect games, decks, or accessories, highlight deals and our trade-in program (for cartridges andcards), suggest smart add-ons, use proven sales techniques on every transaction, and thank each person for choosing RAD GameShop. Put guests first--prove it by roaming the floor instead of hiding behind tasks.
Cultivate an irresistible store atmosphere--killer visuals, smooth ops--and nurture relationships that turn one-time buyers into regulars.
Ring up purchases and handle returns flawlessly on the POS system while keeping service top-tier.
Field in-person or phone inquiries with speed, courtesy, and pro-level knowledge so every interaction feels five-star.
Champion RAD GameShop perks like pre-order exclusives, booster box reservations , and the Rewards loyalty club.
Keep the entire store--sales floor, restrooms, backroom--immaculate, organized, and merchandised to brand standards; confirm fixtures, display cases, and gaming stations are fully functional.
Fulfill daily Omni-Channel orders (shipments, in-store pickup, event pre-registrations) without fail.
Protect company assets with tight inventory controls, loss-prevention know-how, scam vigilance (especially around high-value cards), safety protocols, and timely bank drops when assigned.
Run cycle counts, replenish shelves and sealed product displays, shuttle stock from storage to sales floor, and keep every title, set, and rarity neatly sorted and alphabetized for easy browsing.
Help leadership crush sales, profit, and shrinkage targets while knocking out admin and operational to-dos.
Accurately tally, balance, and reconcile daily transactions in POS; complete end-of-day paperwork and deposit slips without errors; keep enough cash and coin on hand; execute deposits per policy.
Inspect incoming shipments (games, TCG boosters, accessories) for accuracy, log discrepancies in POS, and escalate issues to the Store Manager or Assistant Manager ASAP.
Process returns, recalls, and pull requests swiftly and correctly, with proper labeling and packing slips attached.
Live by RAD GameShop policies every shift.
Execute opening and closing routines to the letter.
Monitor team performance and deliver timely, constructive feedback to leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS
Valid proof of identity and legal authorization to work in Canada.
1+ year in retail sales, customer service, or leadership a plus.
Passion for video games and/or TCGs (Pokemon, Magic, Riftbound, etc.) strongly preferred.
Comfort working solo and staying mobile throughout the store for shifts up to 10 hours.

Self-starter who teams up to hit deadlines.

Follow directions in writing, verbally, or via diagrams.
Handle cash deposits with strict loss-prevention protocols.
Flexible availability: nights, weekends, holidays, extended shifts; at least 3 days per week.
Stay cool under pressure and manage stress constructively.
Physically able to bend, stoop, reach, climb ladders, and lift up to 30 lbs. to at least 4 feet high.
Remain on your feet and mobile for guest service or tasks anywhere in the store for up to 10 hours daily.
