A local owner-operator mailing and courier business is looking for an ambitious and motivated Assistant Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing and managing a variety of services including, courier services, mailbox rentals, custom packaging, and general business management
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Relationship management with customers, courier drivers and multiple business partnerships
Train and manage employees by providing on-going coaching and feedback
Ensures sales are maximized through effective sales techniques and process efficiencies
Answer customer inquiries regarding products and services, while maintaining a high degree of professionalism
Resolve customer complaints according to established courier guidelines
Maintain customer confidentiality
Maintain inventory, supplies, client listings and mailbox rentals and miscellaneous paperwork
Daily pick up of mail and parcels may be required
Parcel sorting and organization
Custom packaging
Cash management and reconciliation
Regular maintenance and cleanliness of store
QUALIFICATIONS
Work independently and manages priorities in a timely manner
Critical thinking and decision-making skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and general computer skills
Problem solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to utilize postal equipment
Demonstrated supervisory, leadership and/or managerial experience or relevant experience
Ability to serve customers in a professional manner and to inspire their confidence and trust
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Be able to stand on your feet most of the day
Class 5 GDL Drivers License
