We are looking for a Part Time, permanent Retail Team Member to join our dynamic Retail Team in Courtenay - in a brand new store!

Who you are:

Our Retail Team Members are the go-to source for inspiration and information for our full line of stationery, art, and office products! Spending the day with customers discussing art projects, pen choices, sampling highlighters, and enthusing over the GSM of that one specific notebook's paper sounds like a dream come true to you. You love to help connect people with services that will make their personal and professional lives easier. You're motivated to sell and offer consistently amazing customer experiences. When someone approaches you with an issue they are having, you are able to confidently suggest solutions.

You may expect to work between 24 - 30 hours/week

Your qualifications:

High School Diploma Experience working in a retail setting (preferred) A passion for office and art supplies Available to work Saturdays (mandatory)

Your skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information in a concise and well-organized manner Adapts easily to change Takes the initiative, is a self-starter Is an excellent team player, working well with others Enjoy learning new skills and abilities

Some of your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Accurately and efficiently complete POS transactions Receiving product and restocking shelves Inventory Management - ex., Cycle counts, PM orders, price changes Store opening & closing Learn about existing and new products by researching and exploring their uses (especially the art supplies!) Participate in merchandising and upholding brand standards Participate in the maintenance and upkeep of the store; report any issues that may impact the customer experience Promote Monk Office services, including promotions, commercial products, services, and the Think Monk Savings loyalty program Consistently strive to deliver amazing customer experiences Demonstrate Monk Office Core Values as a work life guiding principle with customers and co-workers Show enthusiasm and a high interest for the job Consistently meet Monk Office standards for dress code Work closely and cooperatively with the store Leader, and offers feedback and suggestions to support store goals
