Requirements:

Must be 18 years or older Smart serve certified (required) Ability to work weekends and public holidays and events Reliable transportation to and from work Outgoing, positive, eager to learn attitude Able to lift up to 30 lbs Effective communication and problem solving skills Thrives in a fast-paced team environment
Responsibilities:

Follow opening and closing procedures outlined in the employee handbook. Greet guests promptly in a warm and welcoming manner. Conduct structured tastings with tour groups and guests. Answer customer's questions regarding products, winemaking, the vineyard and general tourism questions in a knowledgeable way Suggest and sell wine, wine tasting experiences, and non-wine merchandise. Handle POS transactions, including operating cash register, processing returns, discounts, employee purchases, etc. Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation, participate in daily cleaning (washroom tidy/sanitize, taking garbage out, washing and polishing glasses). Able to bend. stoop, and stand for long periods of time Multi-tasking, organizing, cleaning, re-stocking.
Other Qualifications:

Self-motivated Works well in a team environment and alone Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry is an asset. Bilingual is an asset WSET or similar certifications are assets Prior serving experience is an asset
