Sauve's Home Centre is seeking a friendly, motivated, and professional
Sales Associate
to join our team in Comber. This part-time role offers opportunities for growth, cross-training, and occasional support at our Belle River and Tilbury locations.
We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and brings a strong foundation in retail, renovations, building materials, or general hardware knowledge. Key Responsibilities
Provide exceptional customer service and product knowledge across all store departments
Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products that meet their needs
Operate as cashier, including accurate POS transactions and cash handling
Assist with inventory management, stock replenishment, and merchandising
Conduct basic product demonstrations and explain features and benefits
Assist with paint mixing, hardware sales, and general product inquiries
Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and merchandising standards
Perform key-holding and security duties as assigned
Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Safely handle materials up to 25kg
Operate forklifts (certification an asset)
Refill chlorine jugs, propane tanks, and filtered water containers
Assemble products, displays, and seasonal setups
Maintain professional phone etiquette and assist customers via phone or online inquiries
Manage multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
Qualifications & Experience
Retail, renovation, construction, or hardware experience preferred
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to explain product features clearly and confidently
Familiarity with POS systems, basic software, and web-based product lookup
General hardware, DIY repairs, and paint knowledge
Basic gardening knowledge (asset)
Plumbing, electrical, and barbecue product knowledge (beneficial)
Forklift operation and material handling experience (asset)
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Professional appearance and positive attitude
Reliable transportation is required
English fluency required; French or other languages are an asset
Schedule & Availability
Weekday availability between
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Must be available to work
every other Saturday
Closed Sundays
Scheduling flexibility and time-off requests handled fairly based on business needs

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour
