Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their shopping journey Assist customers in selecting products by understanding their needs and offering tailored recommendations Conduct product demos to showcase features, benefits, and usage tips to enhance customer understanding Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing Upsell complementary products and accessories to maximize sales opportunities Maintain visual merchandising standards by stocking shelves, arranging displays, and ensuring the sales floor is clean and inviting Manage inventory levels through stocking, merchandising, and participating in stock counts to ensure product availability Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or scheduling appointments Apply retail math skills for accurate cash handling, register balancing, and sales reporting Support supervising team members during peak hours or when needed to ensure smooth store operations

Qualifications

Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and basic math skills for cash handling and transactions Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in both English and bilingual settings if applicable Proven ability to provide excellent customer service with a friendly, professional demeanor Experience with merchandising, stock management, or supervising team members is a plus Knowledge of phone etiquette and upselling techniques to enhance customer interactions Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours as needed

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Casual

Pay: $15.00-$22.68 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 50 per week
