Job Summary

We are seeking a happy, energetic Retail Sales Associate to join our team immediately for 2-3 shifts a week with more at Christmas time. This is a permanent position. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sales and customer service, with an interest in toys and games for children. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for assisting customers, processing sales transactions, and providing exceptional service to ensure a positive shopping experience. Must be available to work weekends as well as during the week. (the job is in downtown Collingwood, indeed will not let me change the address from Blue Mountains to Collingwood)

Responsibilities

- Greet customers and assist them in finding the right products

- Operate Point of Sale (POS) system to process transactions accurately

- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor

- Answer customer inquiries and provide product information

- Upsell products and services to meet sales goals

- Handle cash transactions

-Willingness to put customers first and enjoy assisting them

Requirements

Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette. Basic math skills for handling transactions and providing accurate change. Familiarity with technology sales or technical sales is advantageous, particularly in providing product demos. Excellent organizational skills to maintain inventory and store displays effectively. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. A positive attitude towards upselling and promoting products to maximize sales opportunities. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.75-$18.25 per hour

Expected hours: 14 - 26 per week
