Aplin has partnered with our client, a retail store in Saskatoon specializing in providing religious material for the Catholic and Christian faiths, in search of a Management Trainee.

The successful candidate is responsible for the day-to-day sales and operations of the store. This role involves overseeing the small team of sales associates as well as the \xe2\x80\x9cback end\xe2\x80\x9d part of the business - bookkeeping, managing inventory, and ordering supplies based on customers\' needs. Above all, the ideal candidate will be familiar with the Catholic and Christian practices while ensuring exemplary customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Foster a strong rapport with the local Catholic and Christian communities to build a loyal customer base.
• Provide exceptional customer service, including assisting customers with product inquiries, recommendations and purchases.
• Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers.
• Implement inventory levels to reduce losses and maximize profitability.
• Schedule and supervise store staff when necessary.
• Oversee the procurement and management of Catholic religious materials including books, Bibles, artwork, sacramental items, and other religious material.

Qualifications:

• Retail experience preferred with a dedication to exemplary customer service.
• Previous office experience preferred; however, the client is willing to train.
• Must have a good understanding of Catholic and Christian faiths and corresponding materials associated with these groups.
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds for the occasional delivery.
• Excellent organizational and leadership qualities.
• Effective interpersonal and relationship building skills.
