Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will support pharmacists in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the efficient operation of the pharmacy. You will play a vital role in medication administration, inventory management, and assisting patients with their pharmaceutical needs.

Duties

Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately. Manage inventory by ordering, receiving, and restocking pharmaceutical supplies. Provide excellent patient care by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications. Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient interactions. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with colleagues and patients. Support the pharmacy team in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Skills

Proficiency in medication administration practices. Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred. Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to pharmacy operations. Previous experience as a pharmacy technician is advantageous. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and customer service. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
