We are looking for a retail pet store manager to lead in our newest store in Trail, BC. Candidates must have strong communication skills, the ability to motivate, problem-solve and build strong teams.Our definition of a leader is someone who:

Managers ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of a retail store. Duties include but are not limited to:

Hiring, training and supervising staff*
Coaching and delegating*
Maintaining and monitoring high standards of customer service*
Creating budgets and managing costs*
Managing inventory and receiving product*
Opening and closing*
Customer service and sales*
Addressing customer inquiries whether in-person, by phone or email*
Maintaining a clean work environment*
Merchandising*
Monthly reporting*
Employee onboarding and reviews*
Arranging or covering shifts as needed*
Tracking employee hours*
Completing month-end reports and tasks*
Conducting bank runs and other shopping and errands for the store*

Applicants must:

Have a minimum of 2 years' prior management/supervisory experience*
Have prior customer service and cashier experience*
Be able to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced workplace*
Work well with others in a team environment*
Be energetic, optimistic and confident*
Be able to work any shift including evenings, weekends and holidays*
Be able to lift 50 lb several times a day*

This is a full-time permanent position that is expected to begin in February, 2026.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $54,000.00-$58,000.00 per year
