Job Description

Callia is looking for a part-time Florist (evenings & weekends) to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a passion for flowers, a strong creative flair, and excellent customer service skills. This role involves designing and arranging floral displays, assisting customers with their selections, and maintaining the shop's overall appearance. Floral experience is mandatory.

This role is based out of our new retail location in Southeast Winnipeg.

THE JOB

Create and design beautiful floral arrangements for various occasions, including bouquets, centerpieces, and sympathy pieces. Assist customers in selecting appropriate flowers and arrangements based on their needs and preferences. Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and offering helpful suggestions. Process orders, handle payments, and manage inventory. Maintain the shop's appearance, ensuring displays are fresh and attractive. Care for flowers and plants, including watering, trimming, and restocking. Keep up-to-date with current floral trends and techniques. Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

Previous experience as a florist or in floral design Above-average communication skills Able to lift and carry, and stand on your feet for long periods of time Positive and dedicated with a results-oriented attitude Keen learner with desire to build things quickly and make a significant impact Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively Want to have a lot of fun! :)

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

This is a part-time role, mostly evenings & weekends (10-20 hours a week), with a range of $17-22 per hour.
