We are looking for a motivated Sales & Customer Experience Specialist to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the front lines of some of the most dynamic sporting events in Canada - from the Concord Pacific Dragon Boat Festival to Volleyball BC's Indoor and Beach Provincials, the Vancouver Open, and more.
In this role, you'll combine sales, customer service, and event energy, helping athletes, fans, and communities connect with custom gear and official merchandise. What You'll Do
Retail Store
Provide friendly, personalized customer service
Keep products organized, displayed, and well-presented
Manage inventory, tagging, and merchandise flow
Handle daily cash reconciliations, opening/closing tasks
Maintain a clean, welcoming retail space
Online Store (Shopify)
Keep the Shopify store updated with products, photos, and descriptions
Process online orders, including follow-ups on payments, shipments, returns, or exchanges
Work with production and logistics to coordinate shipments
Support marketing by developing sales strategies, especially for leftover event stock
Sporting Events (Mobile Retail)
Prepare, set up, and take down retail booths at events (tents, displays, products)
Support customers on-site with purchases and information
Distribute merchandise to athletes and organizing committees
Promote the Oddball brand and maintain accurate event inventory
Customer Service (Off-Peak Retail/Event Times)
Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries (email, phone, messaging)
Identify customer needs and recommend solutions
Follow up on open cases, complaints, and post-sale questions
Collaborate with internal teams (design, production, management) to resolve issues
Build trust and long-term relationships with customers
Additional Duties
Learn and understand our product manufacturing processes
Assist with light lifting, booth set-up, and product handling
Prepare weekly sales reports and suggest improvements
Share feedback directly from customers in team meetings
What We're Looking For
Knowledge & Experience
1-2 years in retail sales or customer service (event experience a plus)
Comfortable managing both physical store and online sales
Basic knowledge of Shopify, Yoprint, Monday or similar platforms preferred
Experience with POS systems, barcode scanners, cash handling, and electronic payments
Experience with lifestyle or sportswear brands preferred
Class 5 driver's license

Education
High school diploma or technical degree required
