At Backed by Bees, our retail space is more than just a store--it's a storytelling hub, a connection point, and a place where customers discover the delicious power of pollinators. As our

Retail Coordinator

, you'll be at the center of that experience. You'll lead the day-to-day operations of our retail store and support our Boxed by Bees subscription program--ensuring every interaction reflects our mission of sustainability, education, and environmental stewardship.

From helping a first-time honey buyer find the perfect jar, to coordinating beautifully curated boxes that ship across the country, you'll make nature feel a little closer and a lot more delicious.

This is a

part-time role

with potential to grow into full-time.

Who You Are:



You're passionate about sustainability and nature, and you love creating customer experiences that are both meaningful and memorable. You thrive in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and are just as comfortable running a retail floor as you are tracking inventory or packaging a custom order. You're detail-oriented, curious, and collaborative--someone who sees both the little things and the big picture. Whether you're refining a display or fielding a customer call, you bring care, creativity, and a service-first mindset to the table.

Responsibilities:



Retail Store Coordination:



Deliver an exceptional customer experience that aligns with Backed by Bees' mission and values. Manage retail floor operations including merchandising, cleanliness, and overall brand expression. Track and recommend inventory levels; organize displays and support visual merchandising. Assist with financial operations such as float management, inventory spot checks, and margin monitoring. Communicate with customers in person, via phone, and over email with professionalism and warmth. Understand and share product stories and knowledge--especially around our honey, mead, and pollinator-first products. Ensure Smart Serve compliance and follow all alcohol-related guidelines.

Boxed by Bees Program Support:



Coordinate product curation, procurement, packaging, and delivery of our subscription boxes. Support customers through Shopify, email, and phone to provide a seamless experience. Collaborate with the marketing and retail teams to promote the program and elevate its impact. Track performance metrics and provide insights on sales, customer satisfaction, and logistics. Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing customer feedback and program observations. Participate in team meetings and share updates on Boxed by Bees progress and activities.

Performance Measurement:



Customer satisfaction and feedback from experiences. Retail operations metrics including inventory accuracy and gross margin targets. Sales performance and engagement for Boxed by Bees. Quality and timeliness of in-store execution and packaging coordination.

Qualifications:



Passion for sustainability, nature, and pollinators. Smart Serve certified or willingness to obtain. Experience in retail, operations, or program coordination. Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills. Comfortable working with inventory, basic financial data, and reporting tools.

Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
