Job Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive keyholder retail and website administrative assistant to join our pet retail and services team. This opportunity is almost full time and seasonal, with the potential for a permanent position. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a customer-focused attitude, supporting various administrative functions within the organization. This role requires effective communication and multitasking abilities, as well as a commitment to supporting the launch of our e-commerce site. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with dogs and cats.

Responsibilities



Checking customers in and out of daycare and grooming and relaying information to groomers and to clients Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties. Collaborate with team members to enhance customer service experiences through effective upselling techniques. Support sales activities through merchandising efforts and retail sales assistance. Answer phone calls and assist in scheduling appointments and provide information on pricing or product availability Key holder position for closing hour shift Monday to Friday from 12 to 6, or an alternate shift from 8am to 2pm Monday to Friday. Help with the creation of our e-commerce site on either Shopify or Lightspeed as well as migration of our systems if necessary cataloguing products and photos and entering them into our system Utilize technology for data entry, reporting, and communication purposes. Experience working with e-commerce site is ideal Maintain organized filing systems and manage documentation

Experience



Previous experience working with pets is preferred but not required Familiarity with e-commerce technology such as Shopify, woo-commerce, etc would be a bonus Speed and accuracy at data entry and cataloging products Experience in retail sales or customer service environments is beneficial. Proficiency in basic math skills for handling transactions and cash management. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent phone etiquette. Proven ability to manage time effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
