Employment Terms: Part-Time, 6-Month Contract

Join our team as a Retail Associate at our vibrant Uniform Shop! This part-time, six-month contract role offers you the opportunity to engage with a dynamic team while making meaningful connections with various stakeholders such as parents, students, alum, faculty and staff, during the 2023-24 academic year. As a Retail Associate, you\'ll be at the heart of our Shop\'s success. Your contributions will make a tangible impact on customer satisfaction and the overall shopping experience. Reporting to the Uniform and Alumnae Shop Manager, you will be knowledgeable about all products offered and team up with the Manager to provide excellent service.

You will also be able to showcase your entrepreneurial and creative side by collaborating with the Manager to craft monthly communications that highlight the latest offerings in the Shop via parent newsletters and social media platforms, while also collaborating with Branksome\xe2\x80\x99s Marketing and Communications team to elevate the online shopping experience for our community.

As a member of the team, the successful candidate will also participate in devising innovative strategies for showcasing student and alum products.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Address customer inquiries and concerns in person, online and by phone as required;

Develop strong relationships with Students, Parents, Alums and Staff through collaboration and partnership;

Collaborate with the Manager to create and implement seasonal and sales displays in the Shop;

Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system including sales, returns and managing the inventory data;

Stock shelves and displays with merchandise while ensuring the Shop is properly maintained;

In conjunction with the Manager, develop communications on a monthly basis to share \xe2\x80\x98what\xe2\x80\x99s new\xe2\x80\x99/featured in the Shop via parent newsletters and social media;

Collaborate with the Manager and with the Marketing and Communications to enhance the online experience for the Branksome Hall Community;

Along with the Associate Director, Community Engagement, and the Manager, create innovative ways to showcase student (Noodle - Branksome\xe2\x80\x99s Business Accelerator Program) and alum products;

Support the Shop Manager in daily operations of the store;

Working with the Manager, monitor inventory and assist with inventory counts as required and at year-end;

Along with the Manager, open and sort boxes of new inventory coming into the Shop;

Assist with student uniform fittings and schedule uniform pickups.

Candidate Profile

As the ideal candidate you will display a \xe2\x80\x9ccustomer comes first\xe2\x80\x9d attitude, ensuring that customer loyalty is built and maintained and have at least one to three years of retail and/or merchandising/retail marketing experience. You are confident and at ease engaging with various stakeholders, both internally and externally, to deliver an elevated experience. You have strong oral and written communication skills and are comfortable working independently and as a member of a team.

You will ensure that the Shop is visually appealing and kept up to date, contributing to the school\xe2\x80\x99s brand standards through product presentations, replenishments, and visual displays. You have a keen eye for retail, merchandising and marketing trends and an interest in social media; finding innovative ways to communicate and promote student and alum products to the community.

You have experience performing Point of Sale (POS) transactions and merchandising tasks, such as receiving shipments, replenishments, price markdowns, fitting room upkeep etc. Experience with technology and computer software such as Microsoft Office and Google Suite would be considered assets.
