Reporting to the Group Client Director, the Account Manager plays an integral role in developing strategic, high impact media solutions leveraging Globe Media Group assets including: print, digital, events, custom content, audience and performance marketing solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain and grow direct client relationships from Marketing Specialists to Senior Leadership and Business Owners.
  • Nurture and develop relationships with agency partners and PR Firms where applicable.
  • Prospecting and new business development: establish new relationships and drive new business revenue growth YOY.
  • Continually, feed the top of the sales funnel with new prospects to increase desk size by number of active clients.
  • Consistently use CRM and pipeline management tools to manage territory.
  • Manage and grow priority categories: Retail, Real Estate, Travel and A&E.
  • Educate and grow digital conversion from traditional print advertisers.
  • Improve digital to print mix within territory by strategically employing; Custom Content, Globe Response, Data Analytics, High Impact Units, and more.
  • Employ consultative sales approach to uncover client needs and insights to inform your solutions to deliver optimal business outcomes for your clients.
  • Utilize Special Reports and Projects to scale revenue while providing entry level solutions to grow new and existing business
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team to develop strategic solutions and deliver winning proposals that meet and exceed client needs and expectations
  • Work with the Media Strategists, Brand Partnership Manager, Content Studio, Product Team, Revenue Management, and Project Delivery Managers to ensure quality in execution, packaging and pricing
  • Together with ad operations monitor campaign performance, delivering timely insights and optimization strategies to deliver on client KPI\xe2\x80\x99s
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Post Secondary Degree / Diploma in related field, or relevant professional experience in Advertising, Marketing, PR, Media Sales
  • High proficiency in business development, and developing leads into sales
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including engaging with clients in a variety of setting from virtual and in-person meetings, to thought leadership events and client entertainment
  • Ability to discern when to bring business specialists into client conversation Ie: Content Studio, Media Strategy, Data Analytics. .
  • Demonstrates strong collaboration skills with key internal stakeholders Ability to effectively meet client needs
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Exceptional customer relationship skills
  • Business to Business and Business to Consumer fluency
  • Microsoft Office capability with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint skills
SALARY: Commensurate with qualifications and experience
