Position Summary



The Treatment Planning Coordinator plays a key role in guiding patients through their recommended dental care. This team member presents treatment plans, reviews financial options (including helping patients access financing solutions), coordinates insurance details, and ensures patients feel informed and confident in their decisions. You'll work closely with both the clinical and administrative teams to support seamless, high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities



Patient Communication & Education

Present treatment plans in a friendly, clear, and compassionate manner. Explain procedures, timelines, and expected outcomes using patient-friendly language. Answer questions and help patients feel comfortable with their care recommendations.

Financial Coordination

Prepare accurate cost estimates based on office fees, insurance benefits, and

Canadian Dental Association

codes. Review financial obligations, payment options, and available

financing solutions

. Secure financial arrangements and document them clearly.

Insurance & Authorization

Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits. Submit and track pre-authorizations and pre-determinations. Communicate with insurance carriers to clarify coverage when needed.

Scheduling & Follow-Up

Coordinate and schedule treatment appointments to support provider efficiency. Proactively follow up with patients who have pending or incomplete treatment. Maintain accurate notes and documentation in the practice management software.

Team Collaboration

Work closely with dentists, assistants, and front office staff. Communicate changes or updates to treatment plans promptly. Contribute ideas to improve workflows and the patient experience.

Qualifications



Previous dental office experience required; treatment coordination experience preferred. Strong understanding of dental terminology, procedures, and

Canadian Dental Association

codes. Proficiency with dental practice management software (We use Dentrix). Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Comfortable discussing finances with patients in a clear, supportive manner. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced setting.

Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour
