Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restorative Care Team Lead (Supervisor) to oversee and coordinate restorative care (rehabilitation) services within our retirement facility. This leadership role requires a strong background in patient care, team management, familiarity with mobility and adaptive equipment and therapeutic programs. The ideal candidate will possess clinical experience, specifically in long-term care, and geriatrics, along with proven supervisory skills. The Restorative Care Team Lead will ensure high-quality resident outcomes through effective team coordination, adherence to healthcare standards, and comprehensive treatment program planning.

Qualifications



1. Certified physiotherapist assistant or kinesiology graduate.

2. Certified in Standard First Aid and CPR.

3. Work Safe NB Back in Form (BIF) Trainer-able to identify hazards and implement code of conduct to prevent musculoskeletal injuries.

4. Possess (or willing to obtain) Certificate in Specialist for Seniors Fitness.

5. Possess basic computer skills-knowledge of programs including, Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.

6. Ability to develop/implement written educational material and electronic tools to document/monitor participant's progress and efficacy of programming using Physio Tec software.

7. Physically able to perform assigned duties.

8. Excellent communication and leadership skills.

9. Ability to perform and prioritize multiple functions and tasks.

10. Willingness to update and maintain knowledge of changing regulations, practices, and procedures.

Responsibilities



Provide direction and supervision under the direction of the Healthcare Administrator to the Restorative Care Department staff team members. Teaches good health habits Deals courteously with residents, staff, family/friends and other visitors. The team member will work with residents to restore, maintain, or enhance their level of functional independence. Meet with each new/existing resident (as appropriate) to discuss and educate regarding the Restorative Care Program. Responsible for admission of the resident to the Restorative Care Program as directed by the Healthcare Administrator. Responsible for assessments, treatment, planning and implementation of the Restorative Care Program to each resident participating in the program. Maintain a good liaison between Restorative Care Department and Extra Mural Occupational therapist and Physiotherapist. Liaison with hospital rehabilitation staff regarding residents and new admissions admitted to Windsor Court Restorative Care Program. Participates in staff development, quality assurance, and safety, environment and infection control programs. Complete incident reports as required. Maintain accurate records for RC hours served to residents within the Restorative Care Program for the purposes of accurate billing submissions. Maintain records and statistics for Restorative Care Purposes (i.e. new residents, falls, etc.) as deemed necessary by the Healthcare Administrator. Perform work place health and safety inspections. Log and maintain mobility devices and equipment within Windsor Court. Contribute to the hiring process in the Restorative Care Program. Contribute feedback to staff performance appraisals and probationary periods. Contributes to and encourages the continued growth and success of the Restorative Care Department within Windsor Court and the community. Other duties as delegated by the Healthcare Administrator.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.50-$27.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
